  • Eight years since I've tasted this wine. Beautiful and bright cherry colour with reddish and aqueous edges. Pretty mallorquian. Fleshy, ferrous and coal mineral aromas. Also a slight saline and lovely camphor sensation. Nice complexity. On the palate it is a medium-bodied wine with a fresh acidity, all well balanced and with a remarkable persistence. Delicious aftertaste of dark cherries. IMHO a bottle with twelve years that is in its fullness. What a shame this low score by the way. These guys are from Felanitx, not from 5th avenue in Manhattan.

Delicioso retrogusto a cerezas negras.

  • Very high in acidity (in a nice sense), good structure, fresh. Appeared quite mature.

Had some strange funk on the nose - corktaint?

Had the corktaint not been there 90-93 P.

  • Ánima Negra vertical tasting (Bodega Santa Cecilia - Madrid): Returning to red colour. Perfect cardinal.
Mineral to the bone on the nose. Also liked on the palate but seems to have a short way.
    Its mate? AN 11

  • Decanted for two hours. Dark fruit, spices and oak on the nose. Medium bodied, smooth, vibrant dusty tannins, some dark fruit, chocolaty notes, spices and overwhelming oak. This AN spent 17 months in barrels.I liked the cheaper AN/2 much more that had only13 months in barrels. Well, this baby is just too oaky right now so give it 5-10 more years to integrate or buy the sibling AN/2 for half the price.

  • Not very interesting. Tastes like so many other redwines out there, at least at this stage. Rather tannic.
