  Opened 3 hours prior to pouring. Red fruit on nose. Slightly closed still after 3 hours although didn't decant. Light to medium bodied. Some nice herbal notes along with red and black fruit. A touch of mocha as well. Alcohol is integrated well at 15.4%. No real heat. Solid presence of tannins still but not overwhelming. Finish is medium length. Capable of cellaring 3-5 more years although enjoyable now.

  Familiar Melville Pinot Noir nose, which I always find unique, and that's a good thing. Black Cherry, Strawberry, and a bit of currents is what I get. Drinking well, still feels young. Able to cellar even longer. Had this bottle cellar-ed for 2 years. Have a couple more in the inventory.

  Wow! Profound Pinot Noir. Complex, masculine Pinot Noir. Not oaky, though. Layered and balanced. Well done! I need to buy more! This wine is why you drink wine, for sure.
