This is a full throttle style of wine. Heavy dark fruit, dark chocolate, slightly toasted and with a hint of maturity. Full bodied, generously fruity, but with a good acidity, noticeable tannins and a dry finish. Not really a style that gets me going nowadays, but bought at 89kr this is incredibly good QPR.

Decanted for a hour and some. A young wine, lots of tannin and burnt rubber. Body is medium to full. Nose is mainly dark fruits, licorice and some allspice. Palate is rather closed with peppery cherry notes, minerals and too noticeable sulphites. Give it air, and maybe another year in storage to integrate. Right now,it smell like a South African and taste is immature.

Second bottle: 2 september 2013. Dark red, almoust blue colour. Nose: numb at first, then some spice, pepper, chocolate, some roasted oak and very ripe berries (black current and blueberry). Palate: fullbodied, velvetlike texture, with ripe, sweet dark berries (black current and blueberry) and some spices or herbs. The tannins are still here, and although the acid is not prominent it's still there to make the wine balanced and very enjoyable. Drink now or in the near future. 88.
