  • a "cool" priorat which I like, however not very distinctive or long. ok wine but too expensive at around €40. not much left on day 3 after opening ( closed bottle kept in fridge) so do not expect this to evolve further....

  • Medium ruby color.
A fruitdriven nose. Very pure and transparent. It has raspberry, cherry, english liquerise.
The tannins are a bit green. The length is more than medium, but the wine is lacking the last persistence and concentration to be outstanding.

  • The entry-level wine of the young ‘Terroir al Limit’ winery, formed by the fusion of the former wineries ‘Dits del Terra’ (Catalan for ‘Fingers of the Earth’) from the South African winemaker Eben Sadie and ‘Arbossar’ from the German winemaker Dominik Huber. The wine is composed of 50 percent Samsó (Carinyena) and 50 percent Garnatxa and was aged for 24 months in large used oak foudres. Decanted: two hours in advance. Youthful cherry-red color, slightly translucent at the core. Rich, spicy nose (dominated by the Carinyena) with fragrances of sour cherries, incense, violets and a touch of lavender. The palate is lighter-bodied than one would expect from the nose, with an elegant structure and a smooth texture, ripe tannins and a present, quite dominating acidity. Long, juicy finish with a dash of herbs. Way too young but promising. Give it a few years of rest.
