The nose is just good, perfume rose petal, with a mild touch of charcoal, very creamy nose, but rather one dimension in the mouth, very cohesive, red fruits there, the acidity is high, still maintain it's freshness. 95 for the nose, 85 for palate!!! And pls drink now.

Burgundy nearly at it's best. Nose full of earth, leather, tobacco, dirt, and ripe cherry. Took a little while to open up on the palate, but just well balanced with light tanins. Very glad I didn't drink it with food because a heavily season piece of meat would have probably overpowered it. Just delicious.

Pale/medium garnet core, mahogany rim. Gently spicy nose, forest floor and some bilberry fruit. Medium bodied on the palate, resolved tannins - soft, gently spicy with bilberry and forest floor. Not hugely concentrated but well balanced acidity and an attractive, slightly savoury, gamey finish. Very drinkable village burgundy, good now and perhaps for another 2-3 years.

Open nose with plenty of red fruit, earth, smoke. Multilayered and well balanced, long finish. Really a surprise for a simple village wine.

In the time before tasting notes - but I remember being a little underwhelmed.
