  Straightforward burgundy. It has more fresh, crispy fruit than you would expect: sour apple, pomegranate. None of the dark berry expected from pinot in its American expressein. Lots of reedy evergreen on the nose, unmistakable medicine cabinet. Notes of coffee. Very well-balanced tannins and silky smooth finish. I will definitely buy again.
