Festival of Phil (Phil's place, Putney, Sydney): From Coravin. A little lime, chalky minerality, citrus underpin, a little crystalline lime. Medium plus intensity acidity, lime and a little texture, lime cordial on the finish. Slight alcohol warmth. Hmm.

From Coravin. Apples and slight lemon, wet clay, earthy notes, a littel fresh herbs and meaty elements. Juicy, mouth watering, medium plus intensity acidity, apples with a lemon underpin, long. Lovely.

Coravin fun with Riesling (Kennards, Waterloo): From Coravin. Live over green apple, slightly dusty, touches of wood glue, lime pith and peel, lime juice splashed over green apple. Quite sharp but not overtly so. Dry

{cork, 13.5%, AP 021 12} Mid-straw-yellow. Right for age. Yellowish, slightly developed nose, but reticent; steeliness, vague yellow/citrus fruits. The palate is medium/full-bodied, with some rich steely, custard-like fruit; with just a hint of apple, no more. Medium/high acid, weighty and even on palate; is perhaps a touch one-dimensional right now, but still pretty impressive. Has a coolish mien. Needs more time to develop. Hefty effort., showing well, but 5 more years will help. Deserved a screwcap, I must say.
