This is in the only LC we have truly enjoyed, I wish I had more. It almost has a port nose. The palate is smooth dark fruit, no port flavors. Just deliciousness.
I wish our other LCs were as tasty.

Popped and poured. Took a good hour to open up. Initially closed highly acidic and tannic with a bit of a vegetal? non-fruit taste. I almost lost hope but then it opened. Tart blackberry type fruit with a bit of a dusty hard bite at the end.
Decently enjoyable once it opened but more of a steak wine than a wine that is good on its own. It may improve with age - but there is a worry that the acids/tannins are just too strong and the fruit will disappear without the acid/tannin integrating.

Popped and poured. Very smooth on the palate. A bit of menthol on the nose, but not off putting. Wild cherry and a bit of nuttiness on tha palate. It is fruit forward but not like an Orin Swift wine. Delicious.

This starts with a spicy dark fruit nose and the wine just keeps getting better. The flavors are a complex mix of spice, dark fruit in a luscious rich combination. It has a long, lipsmacking finish, the kind that leaves you hoping you have more wine in your glass. I've had concerns about 2010 and 11 wines, from Washington south to Paso, but this bottle is not soft or light and doesn't give any evidence of coming from a cool vintage. With it's velvety mouth feel this is a stand out wine.
