This wine needs a lot of air. Day one it was undrinkable to me. Day two marginally better. Day three it became approachable but I still hoped for more improvement. Day four it hit its stride, but my patience had waned and I was over it like a high maintenance ex-girlfriend.

Like most Keplinger wines, this drank best after having ample air time--a day plus in the refrigerator for this bottle. A pleasant drink, but I preferred it on release.

Consumed over four nights. Night 1, on PnP, this was hot and unfocused, just a muddled mess. One glass followed over a couple of hours showed no significant improvement. A brief perusal of high scores and glowing TNs left me perplexed.
Night 2: the heat had receded, but overall impression hadn't changed much.
Night 4 (didn't get back to this on Night 3): this has finally pulled itself together, revealing a fairly beautiful wine, if Grenache can really be beautiful.
This is in either an awkward phase in the bottle or needs more time, but patience will be rewarded.

beautiful showing as a pop n pour consumed 50/50 over two days. varietally spot on, integrated tannins and acid, good balance and structure. black and bing cherry, some tilled earth and baking spice. I loved this. in a great place right now. did best just below room temp, but too cold and it was pretty shy. if scoring, solid 93.

Bramble, earth, dark fruit, spice. Elegant. Structured yet smooth.
So much structure and flavor for a grenache, so well balanced.
Me - 92, Wife - 93
