Impressions from the 2014 La Paulee Verticals Tasting (Fairmont Hotel, San Francisco): Beautiful combination of orange zest and earth. More Puligny in style and much less oaky than the 2010. Best of the bunch.
La Paulee Grant Tasting, San Francisco 2012; 2/25/2012-2/29/2012 (St Francis Hotel, San Francisco): Rich and lush, decent acidity, nice finish, a very good performer in the vintage.
La Paulée de San Francisco 2012 (San Francisco, CA): Nose quite similar to the Champs Gain, but a touch less poise and cut on palate. Still great.
2012 La Paulée de San Francisco Grand Tasting (Westin St. Francis, San Francisco, California): Light yellow color; focused, tart pear, jasmine nose; tart lemon, mineral, chalk palate, a little austere; needs 6 years; medium-plus finish 93+ points
