This was solid, but unremarkable. Maybe a little disappointing since it is the 2010 vintage, which I am generally a big fan of. I am not sure this gets better from here, but it also won't fall of a cliff either.

Bought >10 years ago at Premier Cru, back when they were a reputable wine shop. My first bottle of this. At first whiff it seemed a little corky but this blew off over the course of 30-60 minutes. Really a dead ringer for a right bank Bx with gobs of dark fruit, mushroom, tobacco, black pepper and forest floor. A little drying on the finish which makes me think this would have been better a few years ago. This is quite nice and gives the impression of a very serious bottle of wine, but doesn't really speak to Tuscany in any particular way. This held up very nicely under pump and drank even better on the second night. This is really lovely and carefully made, perhaps not the polish of Sassicaia, but it is evident they are cellarmates.

Still full of fresh fruit- blackberry, blackcurrant, bramble and notes of oak- toast, cinnamon. Medium plus acidity balanced by medium plus tannins. Full bodied and still bright. Finish was disappointingly short. Wine is drinking well right now.

I liked this bottle more than the last. This has a healthy dose of acidity, darker toned fruit, hints of licorice and earth.
