A very nice syrah that is drinking very young for a 5 year old wine. No need to rush to drink my last bottle as it will probably still be drinking well over the coming 4-5 years.

Continuing a theme that began with the prior vintage, this seems to have less boldness to the fruit than in years past. It retains the lilac and violets that often show with this varietal from this terroir, but less blueberry and blackberry than years past. Still enjoyable and well made, just a bit thin on the palate and a shorter finish.

Decanted 3 hours before tasting. My immediate impression was that they should graft the vines over to pinot noir. Light, gamy, meh.
