  • Blend of syrah/grenache/carignan/mourvedre. Drinking quite nicely after a decant and 2 hours of aeration. Nice fullsome wine. Excellent structure, drying dusty to slightly chewy ripe tannins. Dark berries, plum, figs, and maybe some dried fruits (raisined). But still on the slightly sweeter side with fruit, with some bitterness creeping in on the finish.

  • Hmm, what to write here? I opened it a couple of hours before dinner from the idea, that it might need to stretch its back from being tucked away for 12-13 years. It was fabulous right out the gate and I wish I had just pop’n’poured. I double decanted immediately and left it outside (cold) to reach a more proper temperature. This didn’t do it any good and it never returned to how it showed on opening. Super fresh, no signs of peaking, so should go long still. Rated 92 as based on the initial showing. I’d be hard pressed to find 90p after the close down

  • Ricco, ricchissimo. Frutta, liquirizia, bocca imponente. Ancora molto giovane, ci vuole pazienza. La qualità però c’è

  • Enjoyed this bottle at The Oven after having it in my cellar for ten years. Dark color, no signs of aging, dark nose. I tried a couple of sips after pouring into the decanter, and initially got dark berries and herbs de provence. Decent finish, air opened it after an hour. Loads of pepper and herbs, some pencil lead emerging, subtle licorice, dark fruit. Well balanced. In a good spot but no hurry. Outstanding value.

  • intense purple colour, almost black.
Med+ intensity on the nose of black fruits.
On the palate it is high in alcohol, acidity and in aromas (balck cherry, olives in particular).
Med+ tannins, ripe and soft. This is all very ripe and concentrated, a bit vertical to my liking. It is a very well made wine for sure and very youthful as well. Will forget my last bottle for at least a decade.
