Community Tasting Notes (1)

  • Nose initially reminds me of Sprite (spritzy, acidic, citrusy). There are also notes of sarsaparilla, powdered milk, and oak. With time, it reveals notes of brown apple and ginger. Palate shows a thin chocolate-liqueur entry, then strong acid. Along with chocolate, there are flavours of pomegranate, raspberry syrup, raisin, and a bit of rancio. After some time, it settles into a smooth, sweet wine with a bit of a burnt note. This probably wasn't a perfect bottle (and it was a pretty poor vintage), but the wine was still very enjoyable.
