Community Tasting Notes (1)

  • Very nice, young Saint-Joseph. Vibrant and pure dark red and black fruits, lifted sense of dried flowers, bit of smoked meat, Syrah's iron tang. Very nice balance, with a thin scrim of drying tannins on the finish. This is so gaga young that the fruit dominates, and it's delicious at that--at least at first. With air, the wine veers away from Northern Rhone Syrah typicity, taking on a darker and riper fruit complexion and losing some of its sense of place.
