P&p; best with 2+ hours of air in the bottle. Spice/black pepper, chocolate and aged oak aromas; some nice general pungency; fruit lacks life/freshness out of the bottle but improves with air. Similar on the palate, with fruit along the lines of cherry compote, meshing well with spice and chocolate. Good tart acidity, which seems to have done a good job preserving the wine. Noticeable but gentle tannins. Lightish/medium bodied. Somewhat short on depth/complexity, and maybe a bit over the hill, but drinking pretty well.

Wonderful eucalyptus, mint, chocolate....still somewhat tannic, tight...fruit has turned more sour skin, tart.....aged plum. Not bad at all!
