This wine had a very masculine nose of clay, ash, mint & leather. The body of the wine was medium to medium-full. Flavours on the palate were a varient of vanilla, like that of a candle - described as warm vanilla by the person I was tasting with while for me it brought to mind creamy vanilla sans the accompanying boost in viscosity/structure. Low tannin and low-medium acidity. Overall, the front of this wine was decently average. However, both of us adored the finish, which was long and filled with velvety elegance! The finish of this wine was enough for me to prefer it over many 90 wines, though the lack of structure and low complexity in the mouth forced us to grade it lower.

Red-fruited, basic fruit-and-barrel profile and reasonably drinkable. None of the meatiness or funk you'd expect from varietal Mourvedre. Nothing offensive. Probably a decent crowd pleaser at a reasonable price, but an average wine at best.

Simple wine, but not over the hill. Basic Mourvèdre flavors.

One of my favourites in Mourvedre variety. Not as good as 2007 was - a benchmark year.
