Served blind. Pale yellow. Remarkably young/fresh. Plenty of dry extract. Lip smacking. Resolved palate with white bread nd lemon curd. Slightly 1 dimensional.

Found in the back of the cellar. I opened this with very low expectations given the age. The colour was light to mid gold. No sign of oxidation (the wax seal was pristine). A beautiful mature chardonnay. Devoid of fat, but showing lovely minerality and a lemony/ waxy finish. After 24 hours, the wine is showing even better with forest floor and summer truffle notes. Stonking stuff ! A shame it was the last one
