Final bottle, and my first in nearly 2 years. Still holding up. Concentrated ripe and very slightly stewed dark cherry, some leather and earth, cutting acidity. Great QPR.

This wine is drinking very well now, but I would not lose it in your seller – – it probably has only a year or two to go before it begins a slow decline. Unlike some other testers, I do not find this Winsbert Kayde to be exceptionally expensive. There is certainly some black cherry, and a hint of tobacco, but that is about it. It is much more interesting in the mouth, with a velvety texture with just the fauntestbtrave of some not yet totally resolved tannins. There is a pronounced cedar/cigarbox/tobacco flavor, but somehow of a darker expression and a slightly more bitter character than one gets in many Bordeaux. As always, Nebbiolo comes to mind, although the flavors are more monochromatic. Long, fascinating, if slightly sour finish. Not a Wine for, everyone, but proof that Xinomavro is indeed a great grape!

Showed well, ripe cherries with the tannins softening since the last time I had it. Never fails to impress me, and always reminds me of a greek 'nebbiolo'.

Cedar and hibiscus on the nose
Tastes of stewed black cherry, cedar, rose petals, leather, tobacco. Nice acidity, medium tannins. A lot of earthy characteristics on the palate.
I appreciate the uniqueness of this wine. It is certainly not something I've had before.

Really enjoyed this. Sour cherry, rose, and earth. Lots of acidity and tannins. Great wine.
