On pouring there is immediately an aroma of black fruit. The flavour is fruity with consistent tannins, a bit of bitterness and a rustic, earthy touch. It seemed quite thin and lacking depth when I had it while preparing the family dinner and I was going to score it at 84 then. But having it with the pasta with a tomato based sauce, it proved to be the ideal companion to the dish, so I gave it a higher score. It is without doubt the pleasant fruity acidity that made it suitable to accompany my pasta dish.
This wine keeps improving, developing a lovely florality. Probably should have poured it before to give it some air. Rating increased even more.
Full ruby red, with purple rim. Consistent. Intense, complex and fine at nose: fruity: ripe cherries and floreal (carnation). Some tobacco reminds. Dry, alcoholic and rounded. Good acidity, tannic and medium minerality- Intense, persistent and fine. Nice fruit, with a good tannic spine, but lacking some body and personality.

Opaque ruby color with bracing acidity and a meaty character. Full-bodied, racy, and fleshy in texture with attractive tannin. Notes of dark berries, tobacco, and scorched earth. This requires time to settle and should drink better from 2017 to 2027.
