Some acetone on the nose that mingles with the candied fruit. Silky medium body and excellent acidity. A classic Paso Rhone with smoke and jammy flavors but the balance and verve make it rise above the pack. It's been three years since we last had this wine and it's still going strong.

Second wine of a great dinner at Lela's in Fresno. Great nose of dark red fruits and some other spice I was never quite able to clearly identify, but I liked it. The taste was full with dark red fruits dominating for me, but it also had some zing to it that kept it from being jammy. It was fabulous with Chef Manny's braised short ribs! Too bad this winery has closed.

This wine takes AWHILE to open up. Decant. Then it is really nice. Rich, full, velvety mid palate, concentrated, lasting finish. Drank over 3 days, awesome day 3. I will miss this producer.

We liked this a bunch. It has a ton fruit, but has a light finish. On the palette it seems a little like a pinot, but a strapping pinot. Definite like!!
