Best bottle of the three that I purchased. Powerful Grüner Veltliner with pears and Golden Delicious flavors, very ripe fruit, medium acidity that keeps the wine alive. Much better than the 2008 tasted recently. No hint of oxidation with this bottle. Glas stopper. - 90 points

Powerful Grüner Veltliner with pear flavors and Golden Delicious, very ripe fruit, slightly oxidized, its color very dark and almost golden, fresh acidity though which keeps the wine alive. Better than the 2008 but again not my preferred style of GV. It tastes a bit older than it should (premox problems?). Glas stopper. - 89 points

Loimer - Austrian wines (Watson's, Hong Kong): Like the 2010, this is a 'premier cru' wine from the Kaferberg vineyard. 2009 was apparently an easy year. Certainly this wine is in a riper style with much less acidity than the 2010. The alcohol (13%) and sugars were the same but a very different wine. Quite round and showing honey on the ripe fruit but lacking the zing and clarity of the 2010.

intense pepper, spice and mineral. Great focus and concentration. Käferberg means "bug hill".
