  • The cork was almost completely soaked. The wine was intense yellow-golden in colour and offered an expressive nose of lychee, peach, pineapple, grapefruit, mango, banana, spices and some floral notes. On the palate the wine showed lychee, peach, grapefruit, mango, banana, spices and mineral notes, with some residual sugar, medium to medium-plus acidity, a good mouthfeel and very good length of the spicy finish. A great, medium- to full-bodied, ripe and rich yet balanced Gewürz; we liked it a lot. Pairing with Asian food further enhanced the wine’s spiciness.

  • The wine offered an intense lychee aroma on the nose, joined by peach, some pineapple, a hint of banana and minerals. It showed lychee, peach, hints of pineapple and banana, spices and minerals on the palate, with a spicy finish and phenomenal length. The medium-to full-bodied wine had medium (+) acidity, some residual sugar and a good mouthfeel. I particularly liked the nice transition of flavours from sweet fruit on the initial attack, to a mineraly and acidity-backed mid-palate, to a very long, mineraly and very spicy finish. The wine worked well with Indian and Thai food, notwithstanding the fact that the spiciness of the food aggregated with the spiciness of the wine (potentially also boosted by the high alcohol), which resulted in a very spicy food & wine pairing experience. Great wine. 90+

  • Pale gold with aromas of barley sugar and a delicate hint of violets. Aromatic but quite densely flavoured with sweet fruits and a dry, spicy finish.
