  • Had to go back after that dissapointing flawed bottle last time.

    REDEMPTION!

This was again sublime, exquisite and firm. Murky, damp moss with faded hints of redberries, but after some 5 minutes of air... boom! Acid, cut through strawberries, cherry, cask and berries! This is such a fruit bomb. The finish comes with a damp earthy forrest floor which I love and that you only find i Chambolle/Gevrey Chambertin. But this is a Morey St Denis Grand Cru and that I admire!

If you have a chance, this is a friggin no-brainer! Buy it, store it, drink it, savor it! This is aaaahhh soo good!

  • Absolute beauty. Drunk at a late lunch today. Even though this was a tough vintage, the wine excelled every expectation.

The initial scent was old wine.. Muddy, meaty, musty.. But after only 2 minutes in the glass the "fart-off" was done and the light dark tea, strawberry, black currant blew up!

The palate certainly did more than the nose promised. Super elegant acid came through and lifted the wine to another level. WOW! This is in its prime for sure. Not pass the drinking-window.

Definitely a delight and a sure buy/drink. Luckily I have 3 more to go and I won't be in a rush to drink them! Will be fun to follow it's progression! Cheers!
