This was a big bottle that I kind of hated to see go but it fulfilled its purpose as the Thanksgiving red. I don't know if it was the most remarkable or noble Bourgogne I have had, but it opened with delicious and very fresh-tasting fruit and kept its lighter, fruited body throughout. Very tasty wine. It could have aged more years, but right now it has lost none of its lively fruit flavor and body. It was not asleeep. The tannins became more present in the last third of the bottle.

Pop and pour and served with food (crab fried rice and long beans with basil and ginger). Followed for about three hours after dinner so I had an opportunity to taste with food and then on its own. Some woodsy notes at first on the nose along with a light fresh berry component. Shows strawberries and fresh raspberries on the palate and a tart cranberry note along with a mineral edge. A bit thin in terms of mouthfeel and the flavor weakens as the wine sits. Light in flavor and lacking charm.

De mémoire, un vin assez traditionnel avec des tanins encore un peu durs mais des arômes envoûtants de fruits bleus... à garder - je pense qu il sera à son meilleur sur le tertiaire avec des tanins fondus

Opened and decanted an hour ahead of honey-mustard king salmon from the broiler. Dark violet ruby color. Nose brings violets, roses, potporri, cloves, lavender, cinnamon, cherries, and rhubarb pie. The palate is medium, square, juicy, and concentrated, bringing blackberries, raspberries, more rhubarb, orange rinds, green apples, and cherry baking spices. The finish is sturdy and elegant. Still seems somewhat early to drink this so I would hold until after 2020. Technical score: 91. Enjoyment score: 91.
