Lacks the acidity and verve to make it exceptional, but it's still very pleasant. Offers flavors of apple, honey, melon, peach, and almond. There's a very mild petrol note that adds interest.

My last of three bottles purchased two years ago. The other two were more interesting as they had some complex flavors to offset their thin body and low amount of sweetness. This bottle had none of the botrytis and honied flavors you would expect from a Sauternes of this pedigree.

This is at least my 11th 375ml bottle of this vintage since 2015. I have had varying levels of quality but this is one of the better bottles. This is the lesser wine of a first growth sauternes producer from a spectacular 2011 vintage. Sauternes is my favorite aperitif on a Sunday afternoon. 13% alcohol. Great price at $9.99. I have 2 more bottles that I am keeping for at least another 5 years or more.

light golden straw color; chalky sweet apple nose; wet stone, sweet fruit, nuts, a good sauternes if on the sweet side.
