Excellent value here. Probably the cheapest decent bordeaux around. Lots of blackcurrant. Fruit is ripe, nice acidity and moderate tannins. Obviously still tight and a bit heavy in alcohol, but quite drinkable with or without food. Best on day two. The 2010 is better, but still a very nice glass.

Robe pourpre profonde. Arômes de fruits noirs avec des touches d'épices. Bouche longiligne et racée sur un fruit éclatant. Tanins nobles, profil aérien et élégant, la finales est toute en persistance

While Château Samion is just as little as 1,5 hectare, Ex-Petrus winemaker Jean-Claude Berrouet is also running together with his son the five times bigger Vieux Château Saint André in Montagne Saint-Emilion.
Made in the image of Petrus, this wine is the best Montagne wine I have drunken yet! A beautiful wine in all ways.
