Bright red in color, with a little purple towards the center. The nose is delicate, herbal, and occasionally overpowered by whiffs of alcohol. Cherry, strawberry, and spice lead the slightly green and astringent palate, showing a little stalkiness and finishing a bit sour, with earthiness and alcoholic warmth. Just a few out-of-balance elements on this otherwise fine and elegant pinot. Paired nicely with roast turkey. Screwcap closure.

This light-bodied Pinot is wonderfully aromatic------spicy bright berry, currant and licorice aromas leading into strawberry/raspberry flavors. Light tannins, medium acidity, nicely balanced with a smooth, satisfying, peppery finish. Served with seared ahi tuna, but a great drinking wine on it's own!

Recommended at Toby and Mike's in San Diego. Very decent New Zealand product. Grassy nose, light fruit. Would have it again. Really opened up after about 1/2 hour
