Double decanted 10 hours prior to drinking. Undoubtably the wine of the year so far for me. A stunning wine at full maturity (with years to do before what I would bet will be a long, slow decline that will provide joy for decades). Nearly perfect exuberant nose. Superb structure. Super clean, very classic bright red fruit, roses, balsamic hints, tiny bit of tar, etc. Drank over 2-3 hours and simply kept getting better. Wow.

Stunning bottle of wine! Way younger than the vintage shows! Plums, black cherries, mint, rosepetals, balsamico and tobacco! At age 35 this is a perfect example of aged Barolo and paired great with mushroomrisotto! 👍🏻

Barolo Bash (I Trulli, NYC): Light red, fading into the browns. Looks and smells older than the other wines tonight. Lots of caramel and cedar, but still very nice fruit and drinking well. Probably a bit past its prime, but still a very nice wine.
