Flinty, steely, Meyer lemon, Comice pear, some charming chervil and a whiff of unripe nectarine. Well balanced mouth feel with fresh but round acids, oak integrated but offers some butteriness like in a mature GC Chablis. Very generous length. Not as good as same year P-M Folatieres but a great pour and perfect now.

Bourdain and Burgundy (Matt's place, Chicago IL): nose: fresh and balanced nose with very good tones of red apples, citrus tones, creams, pears and some flint tones as well. Nice depth too gives this some good style.
taste: Medium/full bodied with medium/high acidity. The structure is showing the youth of the wine, but still with very good tones of red apples, pears, citrus and flint tones.
overall: this is young, but with good promise. Well balanced with nice freshness on both the nose and palate.

Burgundy Monday (SoNo East Apartments - Chicago, IL): Lots of sulphur at first on the nose finally gave way to a dense nose of lemon, flint, spice, truffle and hazelnut. The palate was incredibly zippy with TONS of acid underneath a richly fruited core. Had great depth and pitch and I was very impressed by this Savigny-les-Beaune. Nice alternative to more expensive options from Puligny and Meursault.

Big flint, lemon, mineral and sulphur on the nose. Palate was nice and fresh with good depth and fruit ripeness. Loved the minerals and the smokiness.
