  • Unfortunately, pretty oxidized. Looks like an imperfect bottle.

  • This is my first experience with this producer, but I have read good things here and elsewhere, and at sub-$50 for Les St. Georges fruit from a stellar vintage...let's just say this was a no brainer. This, however, was not a very forgiving drink at this point, showing extremely tight, a bit rough around the edges, with firm tannin and restrained fruit leaning toward the black cherry end of the fruit spectrum. This is a wine that will need a lot of time, but it seems to have a lot of potential, and I'm not sure exactly what I was expecting from this infanticide. Patience, grasshopper.
