Deep purple in glass, nose of black plum and baking spices with a tight core. Red plum, berry and a touch of spearmint as the long finish reveals herbal notes that overpower the lingering ripe fruit. Intense and a feast for the senses, but just a tad out of balance.

Coming on the heels of the burgundy this feels almost heavy at first. But maybe also just needed some time in the glass. And some food to pair with it. Again the darker cranberry, baking spices, and just overall nice. Agree the QPR is hard with this one, but I always like it.

I've not been a fan of the Oregon style of Pinot Noir but was talked into trying this by someone who is also a Sonoma/RRV Pinot fan. And it was good, just not great. By far the best Oregon Pinot I've ever had, but not sure how fans of the Oregon Pinot style would feel about this. It was light, as expected, but had more depth of flavor than I find in Oregon Pinots. But again, I'm a fan of RRV, so consider the source. And just because something is rare, doesn't mean it's valuable. $250+ for this is insane!

Ripe, deep and multilayered, red and black plum, dark cherry compote and loads of spice. Still big, but aligning and softening into a brilliant wine.

Eh... a pretty good Pinot noir. Nothing really special. Pretty smooth, but certainly not worth the price.
