  Love the Out Of Sight vineyard but this 2009 is puzzling to me. The nose rocks of red fruits, spice and hints of new leather. The wine is fairly balanced and the acids are right on. But on the palate I feel I need more to match the nose. The fruit flavors are slightly muted and lacking. The oak tannin s are also light. I will need to keep sampling this year and track its progress... the work never ends.

  nose - closed. some creme de cassis
  mouth - richer darkberry fruit than found in the trilogy, followed by a health dose of char. relatively tight knit and not overly expressive at this stage.
