Crimon color. Spicy nose with rich underlying fruit and a serious, pronounced minerality. This was echoed on the palate, which was supported by fine acidity and deftly walked the line bewteen elegance and opulence. Similar to one of the more flamboyant Vosne-Romanée crus, this wine is an excellent example of the heights to which conscientiously-made New World PN can ascend.
Unlike the other folks here, I really like this bottle of wine. I had my first taste at the winery, bought a few bottles back then, and it is still going strong. Silky blueberries, with a long and lush finish. More of a French than an American style pinot. Needed at least an hour after first opening, was better day 1 than day 2.
