In a very good spot. Good balance between sweet fruit (not stewed) softened tannin structure and very lively acidity (especially considering the age). Just enough funk to add to its complexity. Amazing value....very happy that I have two more to enjoy. No need to be in a rush to drink this, but hard to imagine it improving.

Little musty when opened which quickly blew off. Slow-oxed for three hours and decanted for sediment. Not the most expressive nose but showing dark fruit, baking spice and dried flowers. Medium bodied with medium+ acidity. Sweet aged Burg fruit, damp earth, black tea and plenty of acidity. Masculine and savory. In a nice place but I don't think it will go downhill soon.

Dinner at Marc's (Marc's House - Bellingham, WA): Liked this a lot and it felt like this was drinking during a good spot. Tannins were resolved, palate was red fruited and floral driven with nice earthy undertone. What's not to love?
