Poured for blind zoom tasting, there was a lot of discussion if this was corked, or not quite right in some way. 24 hours later, I don’t perceive anything wrong, though the nose is quite reserved. Medium hay in color, palate shows some nice, but fairly lean and taut fruit, more emphasis on the stony minerality than on the fruit. Quite good, though you will need a taste for ultra dry and mineral wines. If this bottle was representative, give it many hours of air before drinking.

Tasted blind. There was some acetone on the nose that dissipated, but underneath there was a musty note that stayed with some apples and chalky mineral flavors. Good acidity with citrus and good minerality on the palate, but it wasn't giving too much. Medium finish. I suspect this might have been very lightly corked.

Conferma di essere un grande vino anche dopo una decina di anni di affinamento. Inizia ora a presentare alcune prime evoluzioni: il colore inizia a virare dal dorato verso un unghia ambrata, il naso di pietra focaia evidenzia anche le prime leggere terziarizzazioni, l'acidità è contenuta, il sorso invece è di splendida scorrevolezza, sapido, quasi salato, dominato da quella sorprendente e lunga lunga persistenza minerale tipica di questo Etna bianco. Mi pare il momento giusto per essere fruito, non attenderei molti altri anni. Notevole vino. Prezzo all'epoca dell'acquisto ancora accessibile (24 euro), ma ora noto con rammarico che il prezzo si è triplicato in pochi anni.
