We used this bottle in a venison daube for Thanksgiving dinner and drank the remaining half bottle with the meal. It certainly elevated the dish and we thought it quite drinkable, with lovely somewhat transparent color, lively acidity, good fruit, all offset with noticeable but non-intrusive tannins. A pleasure.
Another excellent zin from Ridge...the best of the Spring ATP release. Quite drinkable now, but looking forward to where this one goes in a few years. Dark berries, plum, oak, spice all present. Great depth, smooth tannins, excellent finish. Wish I had upped my allocation.
dark purple in color. petrol, dark fruit, oak, on the nose. plum, leather, oak, pepper, vanilla, tar, spice, on the palate. medium acid, high tannins, on the finish. delicious aroma. needs a few more years to relax.
