  • Cork went down as I touched it. Bled through capsule. Cost me less than a €uro as it was freighted with 4 other btls.

Œil: deep maturity (robe: dark mahogany)

Still has a happy, friendly tannic bite. Superbly balanced and beautifully oaked CS all the way. Wow! Blinded, I'd have guessed... I dunno... A better Graves from an odd 90'ies vintage...

Quite a surprisingly good wine from my ignorance of not expecting more...

  • Excellent mature appearance; deep, rich and powerful on the nose, reminiscent of a first-rate Graves, harmonious, complex topnotes (red fruit, tobacco, herbs), cedar and blackcurrant; good weight and harmony, stylish, rounded, well-balanced, power and elegance, good extract; excellent length, lovely ripe tannins, a bit autumnal and Amarone-like but very convincing. A perfect bottle and at peak now but will age well - 2010.
