Medium cherry with brown flashes color, garnet rim. Floral on nose, candle wax, red pepper, wet/old wood and liquor, add some subtle fruit to the mix. On palate it has liquorice fruit, high acidity, quite astringency, present tannnins, well balanced, mouth coating and elegant. Medium to long finish.

Had at party with 7 other reds and this probably was the least preferred. Nothing special - probably needs to be drunk. Finish was short. It just did not compare well with California cabs and French bordeaux

Popped and poured on Viking Line from Stockholm to Turku. Seemed to remember this was ok, but what a disappointment. A dark red with a violet edge to it. The nose is very expressive with loads of cassis and some vanilla as well. The palate is also loaded with cassis, being almost more like grape juice than wine, lots of tannins as well and a hint of earthiness. Not my style, too fruity, reminds me of black currant juice concentrate. 50+4+9+14+6=83

Tasted on Viking Line between Turku and Stockholm from a half full bottle. Colour was a ruby red to the rim. The nose was initially rather expressive with cassis and vanilla at the fore. After 10 min the nose disappeared. On the palate this was quite light-bodied, with strong tannins and cassis, almost elegant. In general this was an ok wine, but it didn’t quite make an impression on me, so I did not buy a bottle.

Had tonight with grilled pork chop, portobello mushroom, butternut squash and swiss char and it went nicely. Not big on its own but nice with food.
