Translucent, red-brown color. Nice faint aroma of violets. Sharp on the palate, cherry, spice, bit hot. Soft tannins, bit out of balance. Finishes long and sharp and hot. Past prime for sure but probably not that good in its prime.

"Very cherry"...this is a fun experiment from a trusted winery in a poor vintage. It really drank nicely, but didn't add much in terms of complexity. Basically a mix between a Pinot and a southern Rhone blending grape (i.e. Cinsault)--high acid, light body, moderate tannins, cherry and red fruit. Drink now, drink casually, enjoy!

PopnPour, tasted over 2 hrs and day 2 -med dark red minimal bricking -low key but focused minerally candied red/black fruit rhubarb -med/med- acidity, med- weight candied red/black fruits soil faint smokiness slightly medicinal finish with med- tannins; still nice on day 2 with some emerging mature elements -still drinking pretty well, a little less fun but more serious and earthier than Arnot-Roberts' version

Spritzy on the first night, with really sharp red fruits. The wine came across thin and insipid on the palate and finish, and I cannot say that I enjoyed it. I will check in on this wine the 2nd night, so that I can see if it improves.

A bit spritzy on the first night, settled down and became very good the 2nd night. Dark cherry notes with bright acidity and nice acid backbone. Drink now through 2018+.
