Opened but did not decant about 30 minutes and it probably needed an hour. A nice purple coloring, still young appearance. Flavors of red currants, boysenberries and mint with a sweet spot about mid-palate. A touch high on the acid at the back. Tannins have diminished but not completely disappeared. Would have expected to find a few more mature cab flavors. This is definitely California cab and not Bordeaux.

Easy drinking, nice fruit on the nose and palate. Very dark, nice weight, a smidge of wood. One of my favorite Beckmens frankly, does not have their characteristic overly concentrated, tigh,t and perfumey angle. Much better than their Syrahs and Grenaches, despite what a predecessor says below.

Opened to pair with lamb/vea/pork meatloaf. A big wine, full of chocolate and red currants. Some tannin still evident but not drying. Drinking well and a great match for the meal.

Still has very nice color, although a lot of the fruit is gone.

Good, nice and full, but not a true cab. Seemed to be missing something. I think Beckmen should stick with making syrahs and grenaches.
