  Rich dark front end fruit, excellent mouth feel, well balanced across the palate with a nice medium long finish. Paired wonderfully with a medium rare, coffee rubbed tri-tip. Overall a very good wine by itself or with food.

  Decanted 2+ hours
  Full throttle on the nose with intense scents of blackberry and blueberry pastilles, cherry cola, sarsaparilla, vanilla, huckleberry chocolates, rosemary, candied violets, star anise/black licorice notes and cream soda.
  
  No less full throttle on the palate. Massive, with medium-plus acid, density and alcohol with full to medium-plus ripe tannins. The palate carries weight with smooth texture and bold flavors that confirm the nose, sarsaparilla laced huckleberry, blueberry and blackberry compote, both cream soda and cherry notes along with vanilla, candied violets, black licorice, rosemary, spice and cedar. Long on the bold finish which highlights the rich berry fruit and vanilla cream soda.
  
  Overall drinking well, in its prime and still has a lot of life left. Drink through 2026. 92+

  Aromas are full and rich with blueberry compote, blackberry pastilles, sarsaparilla and cream soda, with huckleberry, cedar, vanilla, black licorice and hints of spice, violets, rosemary and chocolate.
  Mouth-filling and full bodied on the palate, with moderate plus acid and tannin levels, balanced by the big, rich fruit flavors. Blueberry and huckleberry sauce with blackberry and plum fruit flavors are well accented by the black licorice, vanilla cream, sarsaparilla, baking spices, candied violets, cedar wood and dark milk chocolate flavors. The mid-palate density is full with a voluptuous and smooth mouthfeel. The finish is long with medium-plus intensity.
  
  Overall, just entering its prime and should continue to drink well and improve over the next 6-10 years. Definitely a great vintage and varietally correct wine.

  Blue, black and purple fruit with herbs like basil, rosemary and oregano. On the palate, big savory herbs and spice with blackberry and nice tannin structure. Big and sexy blueberry and purple fruit with bold herbs. Nice!
