Retail $65. Responsible bottle (547g; 1lb 3.2oz). Under screw cap. I bought a case of this wine more than a dozen years ago and the first nine wines were spectacular and proof that a Stelvin closure is a legitimate option for long-term storage. But. This wine slipped a bit from previous iterations. Sure, there is fruit and plenty of acidity, which are in balance. But. The depth, the intrigue, the chutzpah is a bit lacking, particularly compared with previous bottles. Don't get me wrong, this is an Excellent wine, just a slight step below previous iterations (two bottles left).
My last bottle of this PN. About the same as the last bottle 3-4 months ago: tart/sour red cherry fruit with a hint of raspberry. Delicious with a sauteed veal loin topped with a mustard and sage mushroom sauce. Drinking window is now to another 3-5 years.

Slight bricking starting to show. Fragrant red fruit nose. On the palate I taste tart/sour red cherry and raspberry. Acidity is still there but modified or lessened to some extent which allows the fruit to be more forward than last bottle I opened a few years back. Lovely wine we enjoyed with grilled salmon.
