  Surprising wine. Soft on the nose, yet full of flavor. Easy to drink with a variety of dishes. (Maybe too easy 😊??)
  
  Really benefits from being left to breathe for a few hours – I opened this 4 hours before the wake.
  
  Bold aromas of star anise, stewed plums, carob, dried chili pepper, sun-dried strawberry, faint vanilla bean, and dried leaves.
  
  Flavors of stewed plums & raspberries and white pepper - leading into sour cherry sauce & rose stem on the mid palate.
  
  Finish is rather short & fades quickly with notes of dried roses, dried leaves, prune & the afterglow of medium alcohol.

  I first sampled the wine at Road 13 in 2013 and was impressed enough to put a few in the cellar and pulled one last night....good nose with hints of herb, pepper, and dark fruit. On the palate it was a bit thin from what I remembered when I first tasted but did come through with berry and plum along with a little pepper. That said, we were drinking this stand alone without food and perhaps would be better with some meat...next one with a good lamb or steak.

  Very drinkable but not particularly memorable. Lots of blue and black fruits, quite lush, low acidity. Screw top, no sediment in the bottle.
