Of intense dark red, quite opaque, and in a mature stage, this is a good QPR mouvedre. Floral bouquet of violets, roses, blackberries, plums, oak and red meat. This fine and rich profile is not reflected on its palate, where, despite the ripe fruit, flavors are shallow and uninspiring. There is a violent tanic barrier on this full body, resulting in a muted feel. Nevertheless, this is a good daily drinker. 88

Deepish purple red. Very pretty. Rich aroma of brambles, tar and smoke with a hint of what might be Bret but which I've been told is varietal. Lovely, moderate weight and lots of nice acidity, bramble flavours and good astringency around the edges. Could drink a lot of this wine!

Had with some home made Ethiopian food (in the food too). Good with a moderately spicy chicken dish - help up, but did not over power. Would buy again, but not super special or one to stock up on for daily drinking.

I unfortunately picked this wine out of a mixed box. Sweet raisin-y fruit. No fun. Maybe someone would still drink this, but not I.
