Not an easy vintage overall and to me that showed. Jancis Robinson's early tasting note on this wine described it as introvert. And for me it still. I'd be tempted to give it more time but wonder if fruit will emerge from all that structure and acidity.

Yellow/goldish slight rim variation to white/silver. Medium clarity and viscosity. Tart green apples, wet rocks, hint of lemon zest on the nose and palette. Some butter and creaminess. Great full mouthfeel and long finish.

Toasted bread, citrus and hints of popcorn on the nose. Crisp and light on the palate with buttery and citrus flavors. Nice minerality, depth and structure. Had with Alaskan king crab and a lemon butter garlic sauce.

This wine is pretty full, the oak is noticable. So is the acidity. It needs a little time to breathe and balance out. After some time this is a rather full bodied wine with Apple, creaminess, acidity and oak. Enjoyable.

Fair amount of oak (but with lobster I can take that), pear and apple fruit, just a hint of hazelnut. Fairly weighty, balanced acids. But really should let the oak integrate more. For now, B
