A bit riper and more forward than same wine 5 years ago. Advancing nicely. Still good freshness and acidity, has solid material for its level. Lacking the joie de vivre that the best Chassagne producers bring these days.

A Fire, An Audible, and a Recovery: The Whites Prevail (McCormick & Schmick, Edina): Light gold color. Drank 1 glass over 45 minutes. I favored this over the '14 Jacques Carillon P-M and that may well just be a matter of aging. But for now the Niellon had a more open feel to it, medium in body and nice lemon character, good lift and with some gun powder quality.

Leo's wine tonight. I very much enjoyed the contrast of this wine flighted with Dave D's 2014 Marc Colin PM La Garenne tonight. This was more finessed, delicate and elegant to the Puligny's powerful masculinity. I really liked them both for what each offered up.

Ripe apple and baked apple with good weight and depth, also easily maintaining enough acidity and brightness. very good for its level.

Some Wine Tasted During the Chicago Air & Water Show Warm-ups (Montrose Harbor - Chicago IL): Ripe apple and some peach with floral and spice notes. Good depth and weight for its level, even if not the most complex of wines. Very good for its level, very good for now.
