Rainy September. Low RS for Auslese, very spicy, salty, fragrant. Touch of fresh, tart pineapple, really vivid, like you just cut open a fresh pineapple. Cool stuff and pretty impressive and age-able for an '11.

Perfect match with some spicy Asian food. Not overly sweet and nicely balanced with acidity. Only 10.5% ABV. Think this has lots of aging potential but damn good now.

(Eugen Müller Forster Kirchenstück Riesling Auslese) ($32.00) Savagely fine vineyard fragrance, a city made of cherry blossom. The palate is literally stunning in the ferocity of its terroir, endlessly salty and flowery, already expressive and integrated, and lashing and electric. ++
