Last Bern's trip (Bern's Steakhouse (Tampa)): Old Vouvray is quickly becoming a category that I think I need to spend more time with. The wines we've had have always been really interesting and the QPR is excellent. This was no different. Quite fresh even with the age. Drinking very well for what it is. Not one that totally jumped out of the glass at me, but very sold and drinking well and well priced at least in the real world (even if Berns has not hesitated to go to a closer to 3-4x mark-up on value).

Really nice surprise! I'd neglected this bottle for years, but we were delighted when we opened it. Wonderful golden color. Soft smooth on the palate. Almost Sauternes in it's quality, with much fruit but great body and very nicely balanced acidity. We had it with snapper and veggies, and sipped it into fruit and chocolate dessert. An excellent wine.

Beautiful deep golden yellow color. Very youthful given its age. Honeyed stone fruit, rich but fantastic acid for the age. This can go for another 5-10 years at least. Not quite as complex as I would like but a lovely wine nonetheless.

AOC: Shiney golden color; Bright fruit syrup, a little nutty and honey-like; Mouth is lively and not noble rot or mollasses, but lighter. Med thin body. Very nice.

Excellent.
Golden, big, great mix of fruit and acidity.
Held up excellently for it's 28 years in the bottle.
