I like it. Not sure how to give points because we don’t usually drink wine this old. Rusty pale color Raisiny, medicinal cherry nose Light fruit with tertiary palate but still food friendly and enjoyable. Not your everyday wine I imagine but something for when you’re feeling contemplative or bored with the standard wines in your cellar

Lucky that it was still drinkable. It is a testament to how well it was kept at the domaine as the store I bought it from had received it 2 years ago. The wine is very opake rusty color. I double decanted it for the occasion. The cork was 3/4 penetrated with wine. The nose is cherry fortified wine. The palate is very complex with many tertiary tastes but mostly cherry spices and guarrigue. Not like anything I had before!

Once it had a chance to breath this turned into a wonderful drink. Medium weight, with red fruits , forest floor and Christmas spices in a lovely harmony. Still fresh and now awesome. Went beautifully with slow cooked pork shoulder cooked with herbs and a hint of chilli.

Color is a burnt red/brown (like rust). Aromas of bright cherry, burnt cedar, fascinating earthy notes, subtle meat notes. On the palate, bright fruit (cherry), toasted wood, and very subtle baking spices. Refined, medium-bodied CdP. Toast gives the illusion of big mouthfeel, but tannins are mild & perfectly integrated, with enough acidity to provide balance.
